MULTI-CELL
With our exclusive patented Multi-Cell service technology (U.S. Patent No. 10,634,718), it is no longer necessary to have a single, stationary manipulator dedicated to each test cell. Reid-Ashman’s SM manipulators service multiple test cells with a single manipulator system.
Manipulators using Multi-Cell service technology feature the ability to leave the test head docked to a peripheral in its normal operating position and reattach to the test head when servicing is required. By removing dedicated stationary manipulators, test cells can be placed closer together, saving valuable test floor space by 60% or more, thus increasing test floor density and production output.
DIRECT DRIVE
Reid-Ashman’s Direct Drive technology was developed to address the limitations of counterbalancing to position increasingly larger and heavier test heads. Direct Drive replaces the traditional counterweight system with a screw-driven vertical motion. Without the need for counterweights, the size of the manipulator’s column and base can be significantly reduced for a more compact and lighter weight manipulator.

ONE TOUCH POSITIONING
One Touch Positioning is able to move up to three motions simultaneously, resulting in fluid, efficient, and precise travel from service and dock positions with a high degree of repeatability. Programmable safety limits halt operations when encountering an obstacle to protect both personnel and equipment. One Touch Positioning navigates test heads around your test cell more accurately, efficiently, and safely.
SMART COMPLIANCE
Changes to test head weight and peripheral equipment can be programmed into your manipulator with one-button recalibration, allowing hardware change-outs to be completed in a fraction of the time required by competing products. Unlike a traditional counterbalanced manipulator, Smart Compliance eliminates the need to add or subtract counterweights to the manipulator in order to compensate for changing test head weights.
